This collection is deeply inspired by the legacy of Ka Malu ʻUlu O Lele, the former name of Lahaina, which was once so abundant with shade from ʻulu (breadfruit) trees that sunlight touched the earth near the ocean. Before the plantation era, Lahaina was a lush, abundant land, deeply rooted in aloha ʻāina (love of the land).
